Intentions:
I thought it would be an interesting experiment to re-order the scenes of the film so that events played out chronologically. The Prestige played out in three "Acts". Act I followed the early rivalry of Angier & Borden, ending with Borden giving up his secret. Act II followed Angier in the US, Borden dealing with family issues, and Angier returning to London for his final show. Act III followed Borden in prison, up until the ending. In The Pledge, The Turn & The Prestige, these three acts now play out linearly instead of in parallel. Act I is presented in sepia, Act II in black & white, and Act III in the original colour. Flashbacks to Act I and Act II are also in sepia and B&W respectively. I've also uploaded a version (Full Colour) which is in the original colour, excluding the flashbacks, for those who don't like this change. A few scenes were cut (~4 mins), and a few scenes were repeated when Borden is reading the journal (~2 mins), but for the most part the film plays out the same and the plot is the same. The goal here was simply to linearise the film, not to alter the plot.
