Synopsis:
This fanedit condenses Star Wars Episode I-III into a single cohesive movie. Jar Jar Binks’ screen time and dialogue is greatly reduced, Young Anakin character is more bearable now with less dialogue, Anakin and Padme's relationship is now more innocent than disturbing, and this edit includes a NEW vision sequence for Anakin as he contemplates joining the Dark Side in the Jedi Council Chambers.
Intentions:
The Star Wars prequel trilogy is often handed down harsh criticism and gets discarded too easily for all sorts of grievances. So I wanted to create a fanedit that removed all those distractions and instead, embraces George Lucas' realm of fantasy/CGI overkill madness openly and give it a stronger storyline arc for Anakin and Palpatine, highlighting the Sith doctrine known as The Rule of Two.
Change List:
- New introduction crawl - Ep I starts from when Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi rescue Queen Amidala from Naboo - Removed podracing most of Jar Jar Binks dialogue and screen time, decoy/double storyline for Queen Amidala, Gungan city - No mention of young Anakin flying the starfighter (R2D2 is the true hero and destroys the Federation’s Droid Control Ship - Ep I ends with Palpatine overlooking Qui-Gon’s funeral pyre. - Ep 2 starts with assassination attempt on Padme’s ship - Removed dinner/fireplace scene with Anakin and Padme in Naboo - Anakin and Padme only share their first kiss as they enter the Geonosis Arena. - Removed Jedi Library scene, Obi-Wan meeting Jango Fett in his quarters, Shmi’s funeral, R2D2 and C3PO in the Geonosis Arena and Padme rescuing Obi-Wan and Anakin from Count Dooku’s hangar (continuity error) - Ep II ends with Palpatine overlooking his new Clone Army. - Ep III starts with Obi-Wan and Anakin rescuing Palpatine in space battle. Removed General Grievous here and the crash landing scene - NEW premonition for Anakin’s as he contemplates the joining the Dark Side at the Jedi Council Chambers. - No Jedi Temple massacre. - Consolidated scenes from the Yoda-Palpatine and Anakin-Obi-Wan fight sequences so they would flow better. - Padme’s condition after childbirth is left vague (no funeral scene) to match some continuity in the Original Trilogy - Ep III ends showing Darth Sidious and Vader overlooking the construction of the Death Star.
