Synopsis:
The Ultimate Comics Cut takes the best of the almost finished deleted scenes from the official “Alternate Universe Mode”. Five of the over thirty new minutes of deleted, alternate and unused scenes have been reintegrated into the film for an expanded new experience.
Intentions:
I tried to use the best of the deleted scenes from the Alt-Uni Mode that were finished or close to finished to flesh out the theatrical cut more. This is more of a longer theatrical cut, rather than the radically different Alt.Uni Mode.
Change List:
- Added a few new lines when Peter B is tied to the boxing bag - Extended scene in the restaurant with some food metaphors used for the multiverse plan - New scene with Peter going after Miles when he leaves the Spider-Cave, they talk about what it means to be a superhero - Extended fight scene inside and out of Aunt May's house, lots of cool bits and pieces - Replaced "How do I know I'm ready?" exchange in Miles' room (as it is now in the new scene with Peter/Miles earlier) with "Now you don't have to be Spider-Man" - New scene with the Spider-Gang being caught by Tombstone while trying to infiltrate Kingpin's office - Extended scene of the gang breaking into the elevator as they search the office before finding the elevator - New scene with Doc Ock in the collider fight, showing her final fate in the film.
Additional Notes:
The Alt Uni Mode on the Blu-Ray had a bit of choppy editing at times, as the audio transitions weren't 100% , so all of that has been trimmed up. There was also a lot of weird visual transitions that had a frame within a frame thing that has also been fixed. There was also a moment that I didn't like in the "Leap of Faith" after Peter B jumps off the billboard when he yells "YES! THAT WAS EMOTIONAL" as if we didn't know that the scene was already emotional. So I cut out that moment and masked together two other shots to fix the cut.
