I added the Rogue One hallway scene and the SC38 Reimagined footage to give Darth Vader a more menacing presence in the film.
I added the Rogue One hallway scene and the SC38 Reimagined footage to give Darth Vader a more menacing presence in the film.
Intentions:
After I watched Rouge One, I felt that hallway scene was great but it didn't flow when viewing it and then A New Hope back to back. It felt in consistent. Then after FXitinPost did their SC38 post on YouTube I felt like adding this to A New Hope would help to bring Vader out to the forefront a bit more.

Then after FXitinPost did their SC38 post on YouTube I felt like adding this to A New Hope would help to bring Vader out to the forefront a bit more.
Change List:
- Added Rogue One's Vader hallway scene to the opening of A New Hope by piecing and rearranging scenes that fit best together. - Cut C3PO and R2D2 walking through crossfire and magically not getting hit. - Did a Blend of Mos Eisley from the Special Edition and the De-Specialized Edition. (This way Han shoots first) - Cut the Storm Troopers thinking that droids can't hide behind a locked door. - Cut Chewie growling at the mouse droid. - Added SC38 footage to replace the proper Vader and Kenobi fight. Did various cuts to keep the footage from feeling out of place as possible. - Added some grain to the newer footage in both Rogue One and SC38 to blend better with the older A New Hope footage. - Did some color re-grading through out.
