Synopsis:

There are many cuts made to alter the timeline, remove filler, tighten the editing & improve the overall ambiance.

Intentions:

This project aims to bring stronger continuity, tighter editing & improved pacing to all 12 films in the Friday the 13th movie series.

Change List:

I tried to stay true to David Handman's editing style from the original film. I didn't want anything to seem changed or altered at all. This mostly meant sharp, quick cutting & trying to keep the energy high. Cuts and Additions: Opening Credits- -added the Fanedit.org logo -added my fanedit production logo. -removed the opening credits. -removed the title sequence. -new music over New Line production logo & director credit. ( Overlay of Evil ) Pre-Title Scene- -new music over the opening scene. ( F13 Main Title ) -cut the guards dialog as he covers Jason with the blanket. -added "Friday, June 13th 2008" text to the shot of Dr. Wimmer walking down the hall. -added a music cue when Rowan realizes Jason is watching her. ( The 'Cryo'ing Game ) -cut the shots of Jason following Rowan down the stairs. -cut the zoom-in shot of Jason entering the cryo-room. Title Sequence- -new title logo. -new title. (Jason: 2455) -new title sequence music. ( Jason Thaws Out [raymix] ) -added sound effects during the new title sequence. Finding Jason- -added "Friday, September 13th 2455" text to the shot of the explorers unmasking. -cut Azrael's line about a "freezer thing." -cut K.M. giving data about the freezer. -cut the conversation about the hockey mask. -cut Fat Lou's reaction to finding out the survivor is female. -cut a few frames of the shuttle launching. Aboard the Spce Ship Grendel- -cut K.M. saying how long Rowan has been frozen. -cut Stoney calling Kinsa "smart & sexy." in the examination room. -cut Tsunaron mentioning that Jason has a small brain. -cut Stoney & Kinsa making out beside Jason's unthawing corpse. -cut Adrienne kicking Stoney & Kinsa out of the examination room. -cut Adrienne removing Jason's bad eye. Rowan Awakens- -slo-mo & fade-out after Rowan says "2455..." -cut Rowan mentioning how many years it's been since she was frozen. Profiteering & Maintenance- -cut Dieter telling Jonathan that "a box of DVDs is not a goldmine." -cut any mention of how long Rowan was frozen from Jonathan & Dieter's conversation. -cut Tsunaron trying to put nipples on the K.M. android. Jason Awakens- -Adrienne doesn't look around the room as long after Jason's first convulsion. -cut the shot of Jason entering the hallway after he kills Adrienne. Rowan Explains it All- -cut Rowan saying they tried to execute Jason "for the first time" in 2008. Various Happenings- -cut Tsunaron & Janessa's hallway interaction. -removed the soldiers startling each other & their conversation. -cut Janessa's reaction when Geko gets killed. -removed Sgt. Brodski's POV shot. -cut all of Jonathan's dialog after the soldiers are killed. -cut Kinsa saying she's going to meet Stoney. -cut Kinsa asking "What's a bike?" -cut Tsunaron & K.M.'s kiss. -cut Crutch's comment about "the Microsoft conflict". -cut Crutch laughing at Jonathan's severed head. -cut the "what happens now?" conversation. -cut Kinsa joking "You hold him while I run." -cut Tsunaron saying "Gave her an upload." -cut K.M. saying "I had it under control." -cut Tsunaron & K.M.'s second kiss. Creating Uber-Jason- -slo-mo & zoom-in on the nano tech computer's "Alert" message. -slo-mo on the nano tech computer's "Synthetic Cellular Replacement" message. Escape!- -cut Janessa's "This sucks" line. -switched the two quick shots of Janessa being sucked across the room for continuity. -slight slo-mo on the shots of Janessa being sucked across the room. -slo-mo & fade-out on the shot of Rowan & Tsunaron looking out the window at Earth2. -different music cue during the window scene. ( All's Well That Ends... Well ) Post-Credits- -moved the scene of the campers on Earth2 to post-credits. -different music over the end credits. ( The Wind Tunnel & Birth of the Über-Jason ) -added my production logo to the end. -added music cue to post-credits & production logo. ( Overlay of Evil )
