This is THE First Doctor story. While the previous episode introduces us to our favorite time traveling alien, this is the episode that launched the series into a vortex of popularity. The core of the story is there, but now with added music and bringing it down from 7 small episodes to 2 longer episodes, we get to really jump into this classic story.
