Synopsis:

AVATAR: The Final Cut aims to put Avatar's best foot forward by removing unnecessary narration and extending character development. The extended edition, while better than the theatrical by far, was lacking a 3D release. This edit not only fixes the main problem of the film, but also brings an all new 3D version of the extended experience.

Intentions:

Most people forgot Avatar because of its lackluster theatrical cut. Most assumed it was only the 3D that allowed the film to garner such success and while that did play a part, it was mostly due to studio interference cutting too much out of the movie that led to its worsened characters and the addition of narration that force-fed the audience who wanted to enjoy the movie, thus alienating the majority of moviegoers. This edit removes what didn't work and keeps everything else whilst also adding to the already extended version to create the most complete version possible on top of reinserting the 3D version to create the definitive version of James Cameron's world.

Change List:

Changes Throughout: -Overlaid 3D footage over extended cut where applicable. -Used Extended cut as base for further edit. -Removed Internal dialogue from all scenes. (Excluding training montage.) -Regraded theatrical and extended versions to match one another. -All subtitles have been reimplemented. Specific Changes: -Added Fanedit Warning (Manual 3D Conversion) -Added FBI Piracy Warning (Unaltered) -Replaced 20th Century Fox logo with Fox Home Entertainment (Native 3D) -Boosted Fox intro volume to match the rest of the film. -Added AVATAR title card during decent to Pandora. (Rescored to match film.) -Added "Pandora Rules" deleted scene. (Cropped to match fullscreen aspect ratio.) -Trimmed ending of "Pandora Rules" to match how there is no longer internal dialogue with Jake. -Deleted scene of Jake talking directly to the camera. He instead talks to "A" camera and not "THE" camera. -Removed Trudy's introduction audio overlapping Jake getting out of his pod. -Added "Breakfast With Scientists" deleted scene. (Cropped to match fullscreen aspect ratio.) -Replaced extended sex scene with the original theatrical version because if there's one thing we DON'T need, it's more alien sex. -Added Extended scene of Quaritch manipulating Parker into approving of violent action. -Added Extended escape sequence. -Removed part of Jake gathering the Na'vi from other tribes as the internal dialogue covered too much and broke the scene when removed. This scene is still present, just slightly shorter. -Added Extended scene of Quaritch preparing to fight the Na'vi. -Added brief shot of the shuttle leaving Pandora. -Removed Jake talking to his camera. -Added my username under "editors" in the credits. -Added Fanedit logo at ending.

Additional Notes:

I removed most of the narration, used 3D footage where available, and reinserted a handful of deleted scenes all color corrected and cropped to the home aspect ratio.
