Synopsis:
What is life? Is it desireable? Is imposing life moral? These are questions that are being explored in this short documentary. It starts with the beginning of the universe and ends in our modern times. It explores how life functions, what it's tools are and how it applies to humans.
Intentions:
The goal of this edit is to introduce the viewer to the philosophy of antinatalism. I stumbled across a speech about antinatalism on youtube that started with the beginning of the universe and ended in our modern times. The speech really impressed me and motivated me to create this fanedit.
Change List:
I used the narration as a basis and edited the footage from 'The Tree of Life' to fit the speech. I cut some parts of the narration when there was no good footage available. I also used the soundtrack to evoke a feeling in the viewer that mirrors the content of what is being spoken.
Additional Notes:
The documentary is edited to fit the narration. Therefore, most of the original film is cut.
