Synopsis:
Winners of the 1990 and 1992 Worst Parents Awards are accidently seperated from their 8 year old son, as he is at home, left to severely torture and mutilate 2 grown men. The Holiday Special Edition adds back 14 deleted, extended and alternate scenes to this Christmas classic, with over 10 minutes of new footage.
Intentions:
After seeing how much interesting footage and cut stuff was on the Blu-Ray, I figured I may as well look into editing the film and adding back all this footage. Especially the new Christmas carol by Daniel Stern and Joe Pesci.
Change List:
- Added 2 alternate and extended scenes with Harry pretending to be a cop - Added Buzz threatening to tie Kevin to Old Man Marley's front door - Added Uncle Frank dacking Kevin - Added the Wet Bandits chit-chatting in the van about why they hate Christmas - Added Kevin yelling to the empty house about how hungry he is - Added alternate scene of Kevin shooting the army men with the BB gun - Added Kevin seeing Old Man Marley after sledding down the stairs - Added the McAllisters that live in Paris trying to welcome the rest of the family to the country but being ignored as they speed past them - Added alternate scene of the McAllisters in Paris watching french TV and Buzz saying how Kevin will be fine - Added the Wet Bandits singing their own robbery-themed version of "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" - Added the McAllisters in Paris not being able to sleep while Kevin is in bed with the family portrait - Added Kevin asking a lady where the fabric softener is at the shops - Added Linnie (Kevin's sister) talking to her dad about Christmas and what it means for her and for family.
Additional Notes:
All of the SD deleted scenes have been upscaled and colour corrected to match the 2010 Blu-Ray, with gaps filled with tracks from the Home Alone 1/2 soundtracks.
