Synopsis:
Michael Myers continues his rampage begun in the first film.
Intentions:
Make an extended version of the film that makes sense. This involved re-organizing the order of some scenes,
Change List:
Too much to list.
Some scenes in the theatrical version featured alternate takes in the television version, and I used the t.v. version in a couple instances.
I included score from part 1, The Fog and part 2 over a few scenes. Mr Garret exploring the storage room. Budd's death. Janet's death. Chase scene through the basement to the elevator.
The sauna death was reduced slightly for better impact. It's over the top in the regular version with Mike repeatedly dunking her head while obviously dead into the boiling sauna again and again. So now it's more urgent and awful as we hear/see her screaming as she's dunked in the boiling water, then suddenly she's silent/dead and her lifeless body is thrown to the ground.
I removed the shot of Myers walking behind Jill, which now creates a big jump scare moment as he suddenly appears behind her.
Ending is re-cut, uses television version ending with Jimmy, then as the ambulance drives away, it fades into the end credits.
Additional Notes:
Many film damage filters were used throughout the film to give it a rough grindhouse look. Since an actual 35mm print doesn't exist(that I'm aware of). This was the next best option, and I made sure to include different filters depending on the scene. Some scenes are really damaged/dirty, some are less damaged/grainy. I even added a slight jitter effect in a few spaces to add some character and tension to the film in a subtle manner.
