Synopsis:

This was the first episode of Jackass which aired on 12th April 2000 on MTV and became a runaway hit. It featured a collection skits and stunts from various people in the Jackass crew. Some uncensored segments had been seen previously via skateboard videos from Big Brother Magazine and CKY. For the 25th anniversary of Jackass I wanted to incorporate all of the cut and extra uncensored footage into the series premiere.

Intentions:

I love this show and on many of my rewatches I found myself pulling out my old VCR so I could play some of the longer and uncensored skits and stunts from my Big Brother skate videos. I decided that it would be easier and way more fun to make my own fan edit of how some of these skits were originally conceived and shown. I started with the amazing restoration that SpacemanDoug did, which he calls the Naughty Collection, in order to have the original airing of the first episode. Yeah, MTV went back and heavily censored, yet again, the Jackass episodes after they had all aired. Over the years they have never released the series on DVD or Bluray opting for a "best of" that leaves out all the best and most dangerous parts. To make the extended and uncensored version I also sourced extra uncensored footage from the skit “Johnny Coxville” which appeared on the Big Brother video Boob. I mixed the full version of the “Self Defence Test” from the Big Brother Number 2 video with the footage contained in the censored TV episode which resulted in 4 tests instead of 3: Pepper spray, stun gun, taser gun and bulletproof vest/handgun. There was also a little extra footage in the Number 2 video which was probably cut for time to fit the television episode. I added about 30 seconds more to the end of the “Self Defence Test” which was sourced from Dumb: The Big Brother Magazine Story. And finally I used a few pieces from the “Fat Fuck” video which originally appeared in CKY2K to get around the blurred censoring of the skit title.

Change List:

-Added alternate footage from the Big Brother version of "Johnny Coxville" to get around the blurred and bleeped censorship. -Added Johnny Knoxville talking about handgun and bulletproof vest at start of the segment. -Added extended footage of Johnny Knoxville pouring milk into his eyes to wash the pepper spray out in the 'test one: pepper spray' segment. -Added the whole 'test four: bulletproof vest' part where Johnny Knoxville shoots himself in the chest while wearing a bulletproof vest. -Added about 30 seconds from a Big Brother magazine documentary which shows Johnny Knoxville talking about how he felt afterwards when they are fleeing in the car. -Added an alternate take of Bam and Brandon eating during the "Fat Fucks" skit to help me get around the blurred title card.
