Synopsis:

An elderly man reads to a woman with dementia, the story of two young lovers, whose romance is threatened by the difference in their respective social classes. The Extra Pages Edition reintegrates 11 deleted, extended and alternate scenes into the classic romantic tale, with 23 minutes of new footage.

Intentions:

After watching the film with my girlfriend, and watching the deleted scenes on Youtube, I decided to grab the Blu-Ray and make a classic extended cut. There was some great deleted scenes that filled a lot of gaps I felt were in the theatrical cut.

Change List:

- cut original luncheon ending and replaced with... - added Noah leaving the table after Allie's mum tells him that Allie is leaving at the end of the summer, and Allie following him to clarify things - replaced and reinstated alternate and extended first love scene between Allie and Noah - added scene with Noah being consoled over beers after the breakup, with some heavy trims from the full deleted scene due to the extremely overstayed length - added brief scene of Allie in a state of depression after she thinks Noah hasn't been tried to write to her - added Noah's dad talking to him while he works on the house - added Allie arriving back in Seabrook, and getting ready in her Inn room - added Allie and Noah on the dock, reeling in crabs for dinner - added Noah preparing dinner while Allie heads upstairs and looks at some of Noah's things while grabbing a jacket - cut out the rest of the scene with Duke's kids after old Allie leaves - added Allie in her Inn room the night after dinner, trying to call Noah to no response - replaced and reinstated extended and alternate second love scene with Noah and Allie - cut Duke in his bed, looking at a photo album, and instead replaced with... - added Duke talking to the doctor about Allie's condition and how it started, and the origin of the Notebook
