Synopsis:
This was a fairly light fanedit that added music from the games, (And a couple other sources) a deleted scene, and recut the order of the final battle. Nothing was cut.
Intentions:
My intention was to make an already amazing movie a little better by adding music from other parts of the franchise, restoring a deleted scene that showed how Eggman survived after the second movie, and had the Robotnik fight happen immediately after Gerald gets out his nanofist because I didn't want it to interrupt Live and Learn, but still wanted to keep the fight and found it funny.
Change List:
Sonic Boom plays during the opening race.
I Am All Of Me plays during the Team Sonic vs. Shadow fight.
Radical Highway plays during the Sonic and Shadow motorcycle chase.
AoStH Robotnik’s theme plays in Eggman’s first scene.
The deleted scene where Stone saves Eggman is restored.
SatAM Robotnik’s theme plays during Gerald’s first scene with Shadow and again later when he reveals his true intentions.
E.G.G.M.A.N. plays during the Robotnik dance scene.
The instrumental version of Cash Cash’s City Escape remix plays when Sonic runs through London.’
The unofficial Sally’s Theme from Sonic X Shadow Generations (https://youtu.be/uoWTFru0h3k?si=nyXDNRLQGhIRGPWr) plays when Sonic discovers Tom is hurt.
The Crystal/Gem collection sound from Crash Bandicoot plays when Sonic grabs the Master Emerald.
The piano intro of Never Turn Back plays during Maria’s death, and the earlier scene where we see Shadow saying Maria’s name as he holds her body plays again, replacing Shadow’s other instance of saying Maria in the scene which I thought felt a little flat.
All Hail Shadow plays during the Super Sonic vs. Super Shadow fight once Shadow becomes Super.
To improve the flow of the climax, the Robotnik fight is moved to immediately after Gerald first slaps Ivo with the nanofist. It cuts back to the Super Sonic and Super Shadow fight once Ivo’s knocked onto the ledge, and the film cuts to Gerald seeing Super Sonic and Super Shadow flying towards the Eclipse Cannon once Live and Learn stops playing.
The spike sound effect from the games plays during Gerald’s death.
As the Eclipse Cannon explodes, Shadow says Maria’s name one last time as he closes his eyes and accepts his apparent death.
Reach For The Stars plays during the first part of the credits.
The post-credits scenes have their positions switched around, since I personally feel teasing Shadow’s return before revealing Metal Sonic and Amy works better in a version of the movie that can be fast-forwarded.
The original full version of Live and Learn plays during the second half of the credits, followed by SatAM Robotnik’s theme, possibly teasing Jim Carrey’s return.
Stardust Speedway Good Future plays at the start of the post-credits scene, Metal Sonic's boss theme from Sonic Generations plays once Metal Sonic shows up, and My Sweet Passion starts playing as soon as Amy's hammer hits one of the robot Sonics.
