Synopsis:

The “All-Star Edition” is edited from the first two films into one big film.

Intentions:

I had this idea for the longest time when I saw the u/Gallifreyan_Knight13 edit on Shrek, where they combined all four films and the 4D short film into one big film. The reason I didn't act on this idea immediately was that I needed to be more confident about it. But after making a post announcing that I'm going to combine the first two Shrek films and asking people for title ideas, I was very shocked at the number of comments on my post because I didn't expect there would be a lot of them and I thought no one would do it. However, I was very wrong about it.

Change List:

Add the new title during the opening title sequence from the first film. I use the beginning of the second film as flash black scenes during the scene of Prince Charming and the Fairy Godmother talking to King Harold. I used different footage for the ending montage for the second film. I move the scene with Dragon revealing dragon-donkey hybrid babies to Donkey as a post-credit scene.

Additional Notes:

When editing this project, I didn't change a lot in the film. I was planning to use UK audio for the two characters in the second film and used an alternate scene where Fiona "Karate Cropped" Prince Charming instead of head-butting him. But I decided not to because I felt it would be bizarre for people who grew up with the original cuts and would be confused with the film's changes. At one point, I was planning to replace all the music with some 80s or 70s music. But I decided not to because I felt it might anger the Shrek fans if I did that. Plus, I think it won’t work well because you can slightly hear the original music in the centre channel.

Special Thanks:

I want to say thank you to everyone for the amazing title suggestion, and a special thanks to u/Dear_Boi_66 for the title that I picked for this edit.
