Synopsis:

I enjoyed Westworld but knew there were three main things I wanted to change in an edit - the intro, to expose you to the scifi element a bit quicker since it takes much of the first episode to get past the pure western elements. Next, the second season being rearranged and scattered - I understand what they were going for but in my opinion it's more enjoyable told in a linear fashion. And last, the final seasons and ending are pretty bad - everything after the GTA city really strays far from the Westworld that I found enjoyable, so I wrapped it up in a way that felt true to the first season, using a bit of the third season recut in a different way. This edit also tones down the emphasis on Dolores a bit to bring her in line with the other main characters. Episodes are combined and reorganized to be about 1:15-1:30 in length, basically 11 movie-length episodes total.

- Trim voiceovers throughout the show where they feel out of place - Cut opening Dolores debug/interrogation and waking up + Move forward William and Logan on train and their early adventures as the new introduction to the show + reinsert Dolores interrogation later after her character is more introduced + rework and rearrange multiple Delores reboot scenes - Cut all the scenes of Bernard in his apartment, flashbacks, and his personal struggles and relationship with Theresa, necessary mentions are kept here and there but no significant screen time given to it. - Cut many of the Dolores and Bernard analysis sessions - Cut Dolores voices and visions - Cut most of the Teddy hunting party + Move some of the MIB scenes around a bit to smooth the narrative flow + Move forward some Maeve waking up scenes - Cut some of the Roman-style stuff from the bandit town - Cut the old-style host family living in the house - Cut a bit of Maeve in the workshop non-essentials - Cut Maeve diagnostic with Bernard - Cut Dolores church basement and flashbacks - Cut Arnold constructing Dolores - Cut Maeve being rebuilt - Cut Maeve getting out of elevator and onto train + Seamlessly transition into season 2 + Heavily rearrange S2 to be sequential - Cut the first 14 minutes or so of S02E01 showing the operation setup - Cut the reservoir full of dead hosts "mystery" - Cut Dolores with Arnold in real world - Cut the Dolores vs Maeve rivalry within Westworld - Cut some of Charlotte's adventures with Bernard - Trim and cut some of the Dolores as leader scenes, make her acting and plot feel less forced - Cut Dolores father fort stuff, keep his more minimal role as a data carrier - Cut Maeve ninja adventures - Rework Maeve vs MIB sequence - Rework the magic Valley Beyond portal - Trim down Ghost Nation awakening sequences so it compliments the main narrative rather than interrupting it - Cut MIB as host subplot, along with a lot of the forced "nature of humanity" stuff - Cut Maeve escaping into Valley Beyond - Cut all of the GTA city stuff, new characters aside from Serac, prediction algorithm ball, and Dolores running wild in the real world - Cut Bernard in real world + Keep a lot of the Charlotte Hale real world stuff + Keep a lot of WW2 world and Maeve waking up in real world + Rework a finale out of appropriate scenes with the existing characters in the real world
