Synopsis:

The basis of the edit was simple. To simply remove/streamline a lot of the dialogue in the movie. Deadpool is everyone's favourite wise cracking anti-hero, so of course, there's going to be some crude humour. But he still has a serious side. After all, he is still a mercenary. So some of the jokes/dialogue that we thought went a little too far got removed.

Intentions:

As mentioned above, this edit was predominately about editing the dialogue. What we choose to cut out is purely subjective and was simply based on what we thought went too far. There have been 1 or 2 cuts that were made to improve the pacing a bit, but they were very minimal.

Change List:

All the following cuts were made to the dialogue in the respective scenes. - Opening scene of Deadpool sitting on the bridge. - Wade threatening Jeremy - When Wad meets Vanessa - Wade and Vanessa's sex montage - Wade's proposal to Vanessa - When Colossus stops Deadpool from killing Francis on the bridge - Wade and Weasel making a plan - When Deadpool finds Jared - Deadpool, Dopinder, NTW and Colossus ride in the cab - When Deadpool meets Bob at the end battle These changes to the dialogue were made as there were either a bit too sick (in our opinion) or took away from Deadpool as a character. we know he's a wise cracking anti-hero, but he's still a mercenary. And a lot of the humour seemed to either emasculate Deadpool or just make him seem a bit too silly considering all the killing he's doing! Other visual cuts were - During the fast forward sequence to improve pacing - Some slight visual cuts to the end credits
