Synopsis:

This edit aims to remove most of the ghost mom scenes and shots from the film, saving them for after Laurie finds out who she is, while also creating a more likeable version of Laurie. This will also be edited to show a sadder and less annoying version of someone suffering from trauma. After the events of Halloween (2007), Laurie attempts to live her life while dealing with the trauma of her attack. With her past looming on the horizon and Halloween approaching, Laurie's struggles take their tole.

Intentions:

This version of the story needed a more sympathetic version of laurie than the aggressive and unlikeable version of the film. By removing some verbal fights and creating a more saddening decline for her this leads to a laurie that you want to survive. This also requires the removal of the connection between michael and laurie that is giving her visions of their mother and a young version of michael. By keeping her visions of them to only after she reads loomis' book, it makes it clear that they are her delusions now and not a shared connection.
