Synopsis:

Halloween (Pure Edit Cut) takes the story from Halloween (2007) and removes the parts that make you sympathetic to michael. While there are still moments in the beginning to show he had a bad childhood, they no longer continue after Judith's murder.

Intentions:

The intent of this edit is to make michael less sympathetic. In this cut he is no longer a bullied kid and is instead pure evil. He is still looking for laurie but it is less clear now why he wants to keep her alive as you do not see them interact until he is an adult. This cut also aimed to remove more of the vulgar nature of the original.
