Synopsis:
When a cartoon rabbit is accused of murder, he enlists the help of a burnt out private investigator to prove his innocence.
NOW UNCENSORED & EXTENDED!
Intentions:
This is an Extended Cut of the uncensored version of the Zemeckis classic Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Like every JayXtended Edit it comes with as much goodies I could get my hands on.
Yes and with all the uncensored glory too. All the juicy stuff they didn't want you to see and painted over on DVD and BluRay. But if you don't know where to look you probably miss it anyway. It's only brief frames, some fun the animators had. But don't worry I'll help you out and added chapters to the scenes too so you can spot them easy.
What will you get?
- The complete movie uncensored (read more below)
- All deleted scenes upscaled and polished reintegrated into the movie
- A crisp 1080p transfer (taken from the 4K release)
- A splendid 5.1 soundtrack
- An optional german 5.1 soundtrack
- Optional english subtitles (even for the extended parts)
- Bonus: Two feature length optional audio commentary (read more below)
- Chapters (also to the uncensored and extended parts)
Theatrical is 1:43:47 The Uncensored JayXtended Edition is: 1:48:02
Change List:
- Added "The Uncensored JayXtended Edit" to the title card
-Uncensored the 4K transfer by exchanging the Baby Herman Finger-Frames with the ones from the uncensored 1080p cut. Now he points to the womans crutch again when he walks under her skirt. Color corrected the frames to fit better with the 4K transfer.
- Uncensored the 4K transfer by exchanging the Betty-Boop-Frame with the one from the 1080p uncensored cut. Now Betty Boop flashes her Boobs again. Color corrected the frame to fit better with the 4K transfer.
- Added the fantastic but deleted 4 Minutes "Pig Head"-sequence from the BluRay back into the picture. This was the most work because the scene is in such a bad shape on the disk. Big thanks to Reddit user Fuinki who made an insane Topaz AI upscale for me (just compare the usual deleted scene you'll find on youtube with the one in my Youtube link and you see what a big difference this makes). I also cleaned the sequence from dirt and corrupted frames and made an intense color correction to fit better with the rest of the picture. Added at 3 moments a Vignette-Effect to go in and out of a scene which helps the flow. The original scene is in 4:3 Open Matte on the BluRay so I had to zoom in to align the aspect ratio of the movie. But I did this only for the beginning and the end. Some people might lament that. But I answer that for one it was a choice of quality, zooming in would have made it a much worse watch. And I thought on the second that Eddie Valiant, the dude who is very much alienated from the world of toons could have had a hard time to adjust after he got nocked out by Gorilla-Toon so that his world perception was in 4:3 for some time (what washes off with the "gift" of Toontown finaly). I like to think that in a movie like this 4 minutes of 4:3-time are not to far off the usual.
- Update on V.1.06: End of the Extended Scene when Eddy runs shouting away: The sound fades out now with the looney tune zoom and fades back in with the zoom when he is showering (it’s a smoother transition that way).
- When we see Jessicas Silhouette going into Eddies office we see it now from the uncensored cut. Nothing to uncensor here but I liked the colors better.
- Uncensored the 4K transfer by exchanging the infamous Jessica frames with the ones from the uncensored 1080p cut. Now she shows again that she isn't wearing underwear when she and Eddie are thrown out of the car. Color corrected the frames to fit better with the 4K transfer.
- Added the part of the Pig Head sequence from the BluRay that stayed unfinished as a post credit scene. Edited Zemeckies voice over out who explains the scene. Thank god he kept his mouth shut at all the key points of the scene. The scene is only in b&w and at the beginning with just sketched out effect. So I added another Vignette-Effect at the beginning which corresponds even better with the b&w stuff. There was no way to include this scene in the actual movie. But what the heck why not put it in as a little after the credits fun to make it the most complete and extended edition there is? It's also the perfect way to end the wonderful ride that the movie is.
- Added english subtitles (also for the Xtended parts)
- Added an optional german 5.1 soundtrack (minus the extended scenes)
- Added the optional feature length Commentary track from the BluRay with Robert Zemeckis (Director), Frank Marshall (Producer), Jeffrey Price & Peter Seaman (Screenwriter), Steve Starkey (Producer) and Ken Ralston (Visual Effects Supervisor). It's a nice listen.
- Added another optional feature length Commentary track I found on the internet: The Looney Tunes Critic (with Roger Rabbit Animators Jacques Muller, Tom Sito, Dave Spafford & Colin White and the author of the book Gary K. Wolf). They discuss even some of the (now not longer) censored parts.
- Added chapters. Also to the Xtended and uncensored parts (which will start short before the uncensored moment but will tell the concrete seconds too where you have to go frame by frame to not miss it).

"Incredible work, I can’t get over how amazing this edit is!"
"Hey sorry it took me a bit to have time to sit and watch it. Tbh man that is fucking really cool. I have the 4k and I was going back and forth a bit after on my media center just out of curiosity and the visual quality even at 1080p is still stunning. I watched it on a lgc1 oled so nothing crazy but man. Very nice.
The extra content wasn't jarring when it kicked in like I was sort of expecting. This in my opinion is the best way to watch the movie. And I also super loved how you added the end credit bit. That was really fun. Thanks for sharing this with me!"
"Truly doing the lord’s work! Watched the original & your edit back to back and from the start you can tell how superior your edit is! A real gasser! Everything is so sharp and crisp I feel like even the Toons pop with color! The soundtrack sounds incredible & loved how you incorporated the extra scenes to make the film flow even better & with subtitles?! Now that’s love!"
"Hey bro I just got done watching it and it was awesome very high quality I enjoyed it a lot! :) will be checking out your other edits for sure"
