Major scene changes•The film is split into 4 episodes, each with an altered intro and outro. •Desmond’s disappearance no longer fades to black once he touches the ring, there is now astatic effect to suggest manipulations from the black lodge.•Gordon and Cooper’s discussion of Dale’s worrisome dream is placed further in the chronology, now it’s suggested the dream is of the convenience store discussionbetween the spirits.•Jeffries resurgence is now uninterrupted. There is also a static effect just before he disappears similar to Desmond.•The chronology of Laura’s dream scene has changed; segments have been swapped to fit a new narrative.
Added soundtrack: Some of the deleted scenes do not contain any background music. To fill the silences and keep it in tone with the show I have added tracks I felt appropriate to the scenes:•Good morning Irene-Deer Meadow Shuffle••Phillip Jeffries-Teresa’s autopsy••Kind of quiet-RR swing & Just you instrumental••Bernie the mule-Audrey's dance. Altered soundtrack to change/keep consistent moods of the scenes I removed some of the original soundtracks of scenes and replaced them with music I felt was more fitting. All the soundtracks from both the altered and added scenes originate from either the Twin Peaks show or other scenes in the film, in an effort to make the soundtrack consistent with the series overall:•“Bookhouse boys” is played after Desmond disappears.•“Twin Peaks theme” is changed to“Laura Palmer’s” theme during her introduction.•“Laura Palmer’s theme piano” is played when Laura is called home from Donna’s during “I am the muffin”.•“Phillip Jeffries” plays during Laura’s phone call to James.
Minor changes•The arm’s war cry is played during the shot of the electric pole in “Good morning, Irene” and the shot of the ring before Desmond’s disappearance.•“Bernie the mule” has been shortened.•There are subtitles saying “Judy” during the monkey snippet.•A screenshot of the police station taken from “Twin Peaks: The Return” is used as an establishing shot before “Bernie the mule”. A cymbal crash plays just after Laura and Bobby fail to retrieve the coke. This is to hide James’ bike sounds and transition into the deleted scene.•A screenshot of the school is used as an establishing shot before Bobby and Laura talk.•A white flash effect is used to transition from Cooper and Gordon’s dream talk into the convenience store scene.•A disclaimer is played before the episode’s intro; the title is altered and there is an extra credit.
