Synopsis:
The community of Crystal Lake is home to a bunch of missing persons reports, all of them revolving around the Wessex County National Forest. Families seek closure as residents demand answers, but nothing conclusive. Until now.
Kyle McLeod, a YouTube content creator notorious for his hiking vlogs, backpacks his way through the forest, and trespasses into private property that claims to be a wildlife preserve. There, he finds the remains of what was Camp Crystal Lake, and soon discovers that he is not alone.
Barely managing to escape with his life, some of the residents are able to see what Kyle found on his camera, and team up with him to put an end to the legend known as Jason Voorhees once and for all.
Intentions:
The goal was to take this trilogy of fan films, with an overall runtime of 150+ minutes, and put them together into a proper feature length film format.
This particular fan edit is called the Theatrical Cut because I wanted it to be easily accessible for general audiences who are not familiar with Friday The 13th lore, or even some fan favorite characters.
At 102 minutes, this is the shortest length I could trim these fan films into, albeit at the sacrifice of removing callbacks and nods to previous films of the franchise that a general audience member might not know about.
Change List:
The Never Hike Alone segments were trimmed from 53+ minutes down to 34+ minutes.
The Never Hike In The Snow segments were trimmed from 31+ minutes down to 21+ minutes, while also adding an additional minute from a supplementary video online to give this segment proper closure. So overall, from 31+ minutes to 22+ minutes.
The Never Hike Alone 2 segments were trimmed from 72+ minutes down to 46+ minutes.

Special Thanks:
Vincente DiSanti and his cast and crew from all three of these films in the past decade for making them, and giving us hockheads something to enjoy while the film franchise sits in almost eternal limbo. Let’s hope the supposed A24 television show delivers.
