Synopsis:
This edit Removes the scenes taking place in 2035 to create doubt about Coles’ mental state.
Intentions:
The scenes taking place in the future are visually very different from the rest of the movie and my first thought was to remove them to make a more coherent overall look and a story less si-fyish. The result yields an interesting narrative regarding Cole’s mental state. It becomes unclear, in the first half of the movie, if he really comes from the future or if he is lying or being delusional about it.
I hope all these changes make the viewer identify more with Dr. Kathryn Railly’s point of view rather than Cole’s. She is the character living in ‘our reality’ after all.

Special Thanks:
I'd like to thank
@TheScribblingMan for being fine with me making an edit we both wanted to do without ever consulting each other. I have to give him credit for one aspect of the narrative of this edit. He suggested using the quotes ''Merry Christmas'' during the dream sequences, foreshadowing the importance of this key scene later in the movie. Thank you for inspiring me with the quality of your work.
