Intentions:
I once heard someone say that if you ended Rodan right after the titular monster makes his first appearance, then it would be an H.P. Lovecraft story. The idea fascinated me to the point where I knew I just had to make this edit.

Change List:
I re-edited the film to be a silent movie. This was to make the changes to the plot work as well as to make the film aesthetically closer to a work by H.P. Lovecraft. I ended the film around the time when Rodan makes his first appearance to give the film a more Lovecraft-inspired ending. I cut out the explanation of the origins of the Meganulons to make them more of an unknowable horror.
