Synopsis:
Set before the events of Jurassic World Dominion, as the world begins to deal with the reintroduction of dinosaurs into the ecosystem, a tight-knit group is thrust into a thrilling adventure to help reunite a baby Deinocheirus with its family while evading the wrath of gargantuan beasts and a web of forces with their own agendas.
Intentions:
Align the short film more with the Jurassic World franchise by rescoring it with Michael Giacchino's score, replacing the adult Deinocheirus sounds with that from the Jurassic World Evolution 2 game, and redoing the end credits with font used in the Battle at Big Rock short.
Change List:
Added Starlight Fan Edits Logo.
Added the Universal Pictures Logo and Amblin Entertainment logo from the Jurassic World short Battle at Big Rock (2019).
Replace the initial opening with the new Jurassic-styled The Hatchling logo. The first scene is a cut to the Fish & Wildlife Service van.
Added Michael Giacchino's score "March of the Wheatley Cavalcade" (from Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom) for the opening scene.
Added Michael Giacchino's score "A Dinosaur in the Ranching Business" (from Jurassic World Dominion) starting at the scene of Avery arguing with her Mom to the scene of Gabi running down the lawn pretending to carry the baby dino.
Added Michael Giacchino's score "Free Range Kidnapping" (from Jurassic World Dominion) starting at the scene of the officers catching Gabi and the rest of the group escaping with Tammy.
Replaced nearly all of the parent Deinocheirus sounds with that from Jurassic World Evolution 2.
Added Michael Giacchino's score "A Dimetrodon A Dozen" (from Jurassic World Dominion) and "Nostalgiasaurus" (from Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom) during the scene of the group returning the baby Deinocheirus.
Added Michael Giaccino's score "Jurassi-logos / Dinow This" (from Jurassic World Dominion) when Tammy reveals her intentions with the dinosaur hatchlings.
Redid the end credits with the font used in the Jurassic World short Battle at Big Rock.
Added the Film Symphony Orchestra recording of "The Lost World" by John Williams.
Additional Notes:
The original short film despite pre-release speculation isn't actually connected to the Jurassic World films, but rather its own thing. I also highly recommended that you watch the original short before viewing this fan edit as I don't want to take away any credit to the hard work and effort the crew have put in. This fan edit is meant to be an alternate viewing experience for those interested in a Jurassic World take.
