Synopsis:

Eddie Brock is at the lowest point of his life, but when he bonds with a strange alien symbiote, they become VENOM. As Eddie interviews a serial killer by the name of Cletus Kasady, he unwittingly infects him with the symbiote, creating the pure embodiment of CARNAGE. Now, Eddie and Venom must fight a monster of their creation, while serving their city as its Lethal Protector.

Intentions:

This fan edit is a combination of the first Venom movie and its sequel, Venom: Let There be Carnage, trimming down the story, while also giving the film its much deserved R-rating with new blood FX.

Change List:

- Eddie and Anne dinner scene from Venom 2 moved earlier (Venom’s dialogue removed). - Radiohead’s “Creep (Acoustic)” added to Eddie’s motorcycle scene after “breakup”. - Removed some of Eddie’s “crackhead-isms”, like the infamous “E.T.” scene. - Venom reveal through car window removed (saves the big reveal for later, making more of an impact). - Added flashback/ mind reading sequence using “The Goblin Returns” from Spider-Man 2 (shows that Venom actually can see inside Eddie’s head, so it’s a “show and tell” rather than just “tell”). - ”Holy F#ck” by Tom Tom added to Carnage prison break sequence (blood FX & sound added for more brutal effect). - Venom “divorce” scene shortened (dragged for too long imo). - Nightclub scene has been removed, so now it’s just Venom running around looking for hosts. - Removed Dan’s “couple’s counseling” line. - Cut references to Det. Mulligan in the opening (improves the twist by not just showing us everything in the first scene). - Cut Mulligan getting the symbiote at the end of the climax. - Film now ends with Venom eating the robber at Mrs. Chen’s store and smash cut to end credits, now rescored with Ludwig Göransson’s Venom theme (as much as I love Eminem’s “Venom”, it’s still trash). - And more!
