Synopsis:

"What would happen if Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979) had a dynamic modern score? How much can the perception of a film change just by replacing its music? This edit is an answer."

Intentions:

The first Star Trek film has a slow pace that the modern audiences are not used to. So Star Trek: The Motion Picture “Modern Action Music Edition” (MAME) has been made as an experiment, to give to the film a more intense, dynamic style: this edition eliminates the beautiful but quiet score of Jerry Goldsmith and exchanges it for a whole new score composed by Lorne Balfe for the movie Mission: Impossible – Fallout, a very contemporary soundtrack, giving the experience a surprising new taste.
