Ah, Robin Hood: Men in Tights... There is a good, funny movie in there. At least I always thought so. However, Mel Brooks had, in my opinion, began to loose his touch by this time. I guess one might say that what he thought was funny... just was not funny any more. That said, much of the humour still works, even if it is buried.

My attempt here is try and pull the good stuff out from underneath the not so good stuff. The result... Robin Hood: Men in Tighter Tights. Hopefully this version of the film is slimmer, funnier and does not suffer from humourless bloat.

Change List:
The villagers having their homes burned has been removed. Instead, the credits play out completely and go straight to the rapping guys. The prison sequence has been heavily cut down. It went on way too long, was to obvious and just not funny. EDIT... in going through the cuts and edits, I found there are simply too many micro or shot cuts to mention. Essentially, the edit boils down to the removal of shots, lines or bits that simply, in my opinion, are just not funny. ?I ended the film on a different musical beat. There is a bit of dialogue at the end of the final credits.
