Synopsis:
Despite the promise he gave her late father, Peter Parker struggles with his relationship with Gwen. While he deals with personal issues as Peter, as Spider-Man he is forced to battle brand new enemies, such as Electro, a lonely Oscorp employee turned into a raging vessel of living electricity, and his own best friend, Harry Osborn, who is desperate for a cure for his genetic disease. Peter also aims to search for the truth about his parents, despite the chance that the answer may not be the one he's looking for.
Intentions:
This next chapter in the Spectacular Cut Duology aims to simplify the heavy-handed plot, removing as much of the Parker family mystery as possible, cutting out any Sinister Six tease, and adding deleted scenes w/ adjusted color grading.
Change List:
- Cut the entire opening sequence (trying to minimize their overall involvement in the story)
- Cpt. Stacy's "leave Gwen out of it" quote plays in the background of the opening titles.
- Added short title sequence.
- Flash deleted scene added (felt right to show where he's been, since he wasn't in any other part of the movie).
- Max Dillon deleted scene added (color grade adjusted, cuts off the "today's going to be AMAZING!" line for ironic effect).
- Removed Gwen's "I'm breaking up with you" line (sounded a bit awkward).
- Removed some of the comedic parts of the Spider-Man montage (it keeps the tone consistent, considering he kinda got dumped).
-Added Coroner deleted scene (shows that Oscorp wanted Max's accident covered up).
- Added Peter and Gwen deleted scene.
- Rescored the infamous "for you" scene w/ "There He Is" (it changes the tone so that it feels like Peter is frantically looking for clues to his parents' dissapearance).
- Removed the plane subplot during the Electro showdown, but kept May's hospital scenes (we really didn't need this, because there's no impact for the main characters, and it's just a cheap way to create suspense).
- Ending rescored with the OG Amazing Spider-Man soundtrack.
- And More!
