Synopsis:
I watched Love and Monsters when it first became available during quarantine and I was pleasantly surprised what a great movie and somewhat of a hidden gem it is. It has a great balance of humor, heart and its fair share of scary monsters. I've put back all but 1 of the deleted scenes if for nothing other than to just spend a few extra minutes in this world created in the film. The only real change I made to the film is moving the fate of Clyde and Minnow to a mid-credits scene so as to not takeaway from the emotional high we feel at the end of the film. Making a joke about Joel at this point was a little out of place and we as an audience needed to arrive at the end of the film feeling uplifted by the swell of the music as Joel becomes a leader.

Each of the deleted scenes gives our hero some more screen time such as: giving us more background on what he has to do to actually get to use the radio to call Amy, comforting a friend who lost someone, his first monster encounter outside of his colony, exploring an abandoned house and showing us his newfound bravery towards the end, I left one deleted scene out because it took away from Joel's hero moment at the climax.
